A blast from the past – Part 1

So I am going through my photos trying to get them in some order (which is a mammoth task), and I came across some photos that I have taken in March of 2017. It was a Muscle Car Exhibition by the Pretoria Old Motor Club, held at their club grounds.

What to do!!!!

Oh well, lets share it then.

Special mention has to go to the owner of the Chev pickup that let Enzo rev the engine. He was immensely chuffed with that.

Apart from that, I did love the Firenza Can-Am and the Rat Rod. And that V6 motor is mounted in a Ford Escort. Well done boys!

Cars in The Park – 2018

As promised.

I try to get to Cars in the Park at least every two years. My daughter, however, is not big on cars, and neither is she big on walking. Therefore we missed a couple of episodes.

This year, my son and I decided to go it solo. He is a petrol head and does not mind walking if there are cars involved.

I have to say that there were a couple of beauties, but I definitely missed my 65 Stingray (my favorite car of all times). None the less, fun was had by all and I really enjoyed the outing. Going “solo” might just see us back in 2019… who knows.

And herewith the long promised pictures!!! Enjoy.

Pretoria Old Motor Club – British Car and Bike Show – June 2018

love cars. Especially old and classic ones. And of course new and fast ones as well.

Went to the Pretoria Old Motor Club’s show in June 2018. The theme of the show was “British Cars and Bikes” but as it normally goes, there was something of everything. Did however see a couple of classics there. Yes I know the DKW is not British, but it is such a classic I just had to add it in here.

This weekend (5th August 2018) will be the Pretoria Old Motor Club Cars In The Park hosted at Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria. I will be there. With Enzo. And a camera. Watch this space. It will probably take me a week or so just to catalog the photos, so bear with me.

Should you be interested in visiting some of the exhibitions from the Pretoria Old Motor Club you can get more details on their website at www.pomc.co.za

You can also find details on the Cars in the Park event HERE

And now, without further ado, here are the pictures I took at the June event. Enjoy.
